Testing whether your backups would actually restore costs real money, so almost nobody does it. I built a network that proves it continuously instead.

What I do

I'm Regan Milne. I run Obsideo, a distributed storage network built for one job: making sure the data a company depends on is still there, and still recoverable, when everything else goes wrong.

We encrypt data on the customer's own machine, keep three copies of it, and cryptographically verify every copy on a continuous cycle. You get standing proof that your data is still intact, not a dashboard that says "trust us."

I built the network as an independent developer, bootstrapped and solo: the coordinator, the S3 compatible gateway, the verification system, the payment rails, and the Linux fleet it all runs on. It is live and serving paying customers today.

The whole stack, one person, no outside capital

Going from an idea to paying customers meant being the entire engineering team, across every layer of it.

I built it by architecting and directing AI agents, then verifying everything myself. That build process is now what I offer other founders and teams.

Recovery you can watch happen

Backups that "ran successfully" and data you can actually get back are two different things. Ask me and I will show you on a laptop: a real file, retrieved and cryptographically verified, in about a minute.

Every module of that network is mine: the Go coordinator and storage daemon, the S3 compatible gateway, the Python CLI, the TypeScript SDK and MCP server, the signup service, the proof system, and the Linux fleet it runs on. It did not stop at a demo. Some of it is public and installable right now:

Alongside Obsideo I take on prototypes, MVPs, internal tools, and automations, and distributed-systems work where something needs to actually run in production. Built fast with AI agents, delivered working and documented. Fixed scope, fixed price, and I own the outcome end to end.
